Barbecue season is here!
When I hear summer, one of the things that pops in my head is BBQ season!
I love me some BBQ. There are ways you can still enjoy, while adding in tons of veggies and not overloading on the carbs too much.
As with many of my other meals, I love creating bowls. Nothing changes with my burgers. You can get creative and add in whatever you love, but below I will list what I include to make it exciting and flavorful. I always use high quality, organic lean ground beef or ground turkey, try a mix too. They turn out great! -
Embracing Change Can Be Amazing
It’s as cliche as it gets, but it’s crazy how time flies!
It’s been a good two years since I moved out here to Maryland. Sure enough my mom texted me the other night to remind me that it was the two-year anniversary of that big move. Coming up this weekend my man and I will also be celebrating our one-year wedding anniversary. It’s been a lot of amazing change in a pretty short amount of time.
I never imagined moving away from my family, even while we were dating long distance. He had his kids and jiu jitsu school in Maryland, I had a successful business and my team back home. I figured we would keep up our long-distance relationship like so many couples do, and things would work out over time.
And it did work for a while… -
An Homage to All the Moms
Having just celebrated so many great moms in my life on Mother’s Day, and with my own mom’s birthday right around the corner, I had to dedicate this post to them. For starters, you all absolutely amaze me. And when I say I’m amazed, I don’t mean because you display some perfect approach to motherhood (we all know there’s no such thing). What I’m amazed by is the genuine strength and raw love you show for your children, and that includes all of our imperfections and flaws! Life certainly isn’t perfect. It’s full of ups and downs, wins and losses, but having a loving mother in your corner makes every moment better.
